Offenburg is a beautiful town on the western edge of the Black Forrest. It is strategically placed to take day trips to Strasbourg and Colmar, France or to stay on the German side to visit wine towns such as Durbach seven Km away.
Hiking in the Black Forrest is minutes away. There are so many more options in the vicinity that I could write a book.
